It was horizontal rain the night of March 13, 2010 but am I glad I weathered it with my camera for Joe Hurley's 11th Annual All-Star Irish Rock Revue at the Highline in New York City! Thanks for all Joe's hard work. It was a benefit for Haiti Relief as well.

Joe Hurley's 11th Annual All-Star Irish Rock Revue will enter it's 2nd decade as the grandest and most beloved musical event of the St Patrick's season in NYC, at the Highline Ballroom On Sat. March 13th. It has long been "The biggest and best St. Pat's Party in NY" –IRISH ECHO, drawing accolades every year from the New Yorker, Daily News, NY TIMES, Village Voice, New York Post and more.

"Joe Hurley's Irish Rock-A-Palooza draws rave reviews every year as the biggest St. Pat's Party in town. Hurley himself is revered for his soulful MacGowan-esque baritone" -NEW YORK MAG

The annual event is a "Paddy Rock & Roll Circus" as an extraordinary collection of stars dive into the "GREAT IRISH SONGBOOK," knocking out classics from THIN LIZZY, U2, VAN, POGUES, SINEAD, UNDERTONES, SLF, RORY, COSTELLO, DEXY's, JOHN LYDON, DUBLINERS, DUSTY, traditional gems and much more, backed by an All-Star Band of NYC's finest players.

Lisi Tribble about Gerdes Folk City:

Bob Dylan was also below age when he first played there. Mike signed his guardianship forms."

"I loved it when the Village was still like a small community, a town within Manhattan, and mostly "regulars" would hang out.....I always felt so welcome there... Bring back them old days!"
~Ida Langsam

"This website is gonna catch on fire. Great idea! When I get to something other than an iPhone I'll upload some pix and stuff. I'll be keeping tabs...I Think this kind of organized exposure for the artists willing to perform is Great. going to blossom"
~Bob Porco (grandson of Mike)

"Thanks so much for putting this whole thing together, and for inviting me to participate. I have such wonderful memories of the Bitter End and all the other coffee houses: Gerde's Folk City, The Gaslight Cafe... saw so many wonderful artists perform."
