Bob Dylan in Greenwich Village RIP Suze Rotolo

Article from The Village Voice about Suze Rotolo's death Posted by Marcia Stehr (Marci Foreman) on February 28, 2011 at 4:45pm The Village lost a life-long partisan and a true voice last Friday, with the passing of Susan Rotolo after a long illness, at home in her Noho loft and the arms of her husband of 40 years, Enzo Bartoccioli. Suze Rotolo was a talented artist (the maker of artist books and delicate book-like objects), as well as an illustrator, a sometime activist, an… Continue

I've been going down memory lane tonight remembering The Barricades of Heaven in 1964

I grew up in Orange County in the early 60s and I used to hang out in The Golden Bear which was an amazing club in Huntington Beach, I would drive my VW bug up the PCH to this oasis, I met so many wonderful artists, Judy Collins, Ian & Sylvia, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Janis Joplin, Jose Feliciano, The Jim Kweskin Jug Band...and I used to sing with this guy, Steve Noonan. We sang at open mic nights, "Steve and Sandi" I think we called ourselves. But it was at the… Continue
